Popular video conferencing application Zoom has revealed the availability of auto-generated captions, often known as live transcription. During a Zoom video conversation, the auto-generated captions or live transcription tool enables automatic captioning. Previously, the feature was only available to premium Zoom Meetings and Zoom Video Webinars accounts.
Zoom said that the feature has been rolled out to all users to help people with disabilities. “It’s important to us that everyone can successfully connect, communicate, and participate using Zoom. Without the proper accessibility tools, people with disabilities face tremendous barriers when using video communication solutions. That’s why we are focused on building out a platform that is accessible to everyone, and features such as auto-generated captions are an important part of that mission,” the blog noted.
The live transcription feature is one of the most significant elements accessible on the Zoom video conferencing feature since it allows you to read what is said during the meeting on the screen. Auto-generated captions give speaker subtitles on a Zoom video meeting or webinar.
