New Delhi: AICRA and IASC-SSC, an autonomous body of Ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship, Government of India agreed to work in collaboration with each other to conduct livelihood program by skilling the unemployed youths and up- skilling the un- organised sector technicians in Industries.
The thrust of the agreement is to promote and conduct up-skilling projects for MSME sector on Industry 4.0 outcome-based training Assessment and Certification on Qualification packs (QP) as per approved National Occupational Standards (NOS). Initially 17 QPs will be rolled out under various skill development projects and certifications developed by NSDC through its Sector Skill Councils. AICRA would train and certify 500 trainers in these 17 QPs, who would further train 3.5L industry workers and engineering students. “IASC-Sector Skill Council and AICRA joint efforts will also provide valuable help in employment of IASC-SSC certified trainees in Industry 4.0 revolution era” said Bala Murugan, vice president IASC sector skill council.
The two entities are creating employment opportunities to the youth of the country through its various skill development programs. AICRA is striving to make India a global leader in the field of technology and with the collaboration of (IASC-SSC) it’s a move forward by skilling the unemployed youths and develop skilling program by conducting workshops and seminars to develop employment potential.
In the present scenario where the world is facing economic crisis due to coronavirus people are going jobless as a result of the economic jerk on the companies. At this peak time this joint collaboration aims at boosting the moral of the unemployed and jobless youth of the country. Through this collaboration various skill-based courses capable of employment yield according to the market trends will be formulated. Adequate training Assessment sessions will be held approved by the IASC- skill council. Industry projects will be set up and will further help in meeting up Industry member skill requirements and their up- skilling. Raj Sharma, President at AICRA added, “India needs to be part of global supply chain as well as technology consumption should be increased by industries. Such programs and certification would speed up the process so India can be the front runner in Industry 4.0 revolution.”
This collaboration is a step ahead in making the youth of the country more skilled and employed. Not only the youth but the pact also wants to give the technical sector of the country a thrust by upskilling them and help them boost up the Indian economy.
