AICRA Set Up Technology Governance Steering Committee for Agriculture Sector

  • Chandra Pilla was elected as the chairperson of AICRA’s TGSC-Agriculture.

 

  • TGSC will have 12 members from 6 different verticals of agriculture sector.

All India Council for Robotics & Automation has established technology governance steering committee (TGSC) for ensuring the safe and secure use of artificial intelligence across agriculture sector of India. The announcement has been made at the 3rd edition of Global Artificial Intelligence Summit & Awards 2022.

AI being the future of tomorrow will have huge impact on agriculture sector as well. AICRA’s Technology Governance Steering Committee (TGSC) would focus on rising ethical issues and propose strategic concepts to deliver secure AI for farmers.

AICRA’s TGSC for Agriculture sector is composed of 12 members including Shri. Chandra Pilla as the Chairperson, Mr. Rahul Singh (Vice Chairperson) & Prof Madaswamy Moni (Convener). Other technical experts & individual close to the sector will be further added to TGSC.

Technology Governance Steering Committee (TGSC) would review the current practices and use cases of AI in Indian agriculture sector. It will also help to update standards and guidance on all aspects of AI in agriculture.
