The All India Council for Robotics & Automation has winded up its prestigious Global Artificial Intelligence summit & Awards 3.0 on a high note with the formation of the Technology Governance Steering Committee (TGSC) in different sectors for working towards the use of safe & secured AI. The Technology Governance Steering Committee (TGSC) will cater be a place for developing new strategic concepts for the rapid adoption of safe & secured AI.

Technology Governance Steering Committee (TGSC) for defense sector

To realize the vision of using safe AI, Lt Gen PJS Pannu (PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd.) Former Deputy Chief of Integrated Defense Staff) has been elected as the chairperson of the steering committee respectively. AICRA’s TGSC will have 12 members that represent 6 different verticals in the defense sector. The First ever TGSC Meeting 

Technology Governance Steering Committee for Healthcare

The efficacy of artificial intelligence (AI) in improving healthcare aspects is evident nowadays. This promise has led to a growing focus on AI in healthcare and AICRA has formed Technology Governance Steering Committee (TGSC) for the healthcare sector. Prof O.P. Kharbanda takes over as the Chairperson while Dr. Sheffali Gulati has been elected as Vice Chairperson, Dr. Devasenathipathy Kandasam will do the honor of being the convener of AICRA’s Technology Governance Steering Committee (TGSC).

The advisory group in AICRA’s Technology Governance Steering Committee (TGSC) would consider AI growth in tech startups and form strategic plans to promote the ethical use of AI within the organization and thereby accelerate our journey towards Atmanirbhar Bharat. AICRA’s TGSC generally meets periodically to discuss each of these aspects and help set or reset, direction.

 Prof.Sanjeev Manhas (Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engg. IIT Roorkee) has been elected as the Chairperson, Col (Dr.) Inderjeet Singh Barara as Co-Chairperson, Dr. Vashima Shubha as Vice-Chairperson, and Mr.Golok Smili as Co-Vice- Chairperson of the Technology Steering Committee (TGSC).

AI being the future of tomorrow will have a huge impact on the agriculture sector as well. AICRA’s Technology Governance Steering Committee (TGSC) would focus on rising ethical issues and propose strategic concepts to deliver secure AI for farmers.

AICRA’s TGSC for the Agriculture sector is composed of 12 members including Shri. Chandra Pilla as the Chairperson, Mr. Rahul Singh (Vice Chairperson) & Prof Madaswamy Moni (Convener). Other technical experts & individuals close to the sector will be further added to TGSC.
