Mr. Vamsi Krishna Elected Chairperson of IFES Steering Committee to Drive Policy and Growth in Indian Esports and Gaming

New Delhi, India – April 17, 2025 – Following the resounding success of the Gaming National Roundtable Conference (GNRC) on April 12, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, Mr. Vamsi Krishna, Founder of The Esports Club, has been unanimously elected as the Chairperson of the International Federation of Esports (IFES) Steering Committee for Policy & Advocacy. The election took place in the distinguished presence of Mr. Rajkumar Sharma, President of IFES, alongside prominent industry leaders, including Musab Zaman, Head of Esports & Gaming at India Today/Aaj Tak; Mr. Anurag Khurana, Founder & CEO of Newgen Gaming; VJS Srivastava of SOGI.org; Meenakshi Pahuja; Vishwalok Nath of Heyypal; and other key stakeholders.

Mr. Vamsi Krishna, a trailblazer in Indian esports, founded The Esports Club in 2019, transforming it into a cornerstone of the country’s competitive gaming ecosystem. His leadership has driven the organization to host high-impact tournaments, forge partnerships with global brands, and empower aspiring gamers through community-driven initiatives. His election as Chairperson reflects his unwavering commitment to advancing esports as a recognized sport and a viable career path in India.

The IFES Steering Committee for Policy & Advocacy is tasked with shaping global esports policies, fostering governance, and promoting sustainable growth. As Chairperson, Mr. Krishna will focus on advocating for clear policy frameworks, integrating esports into India’s educational and economic systems, and distinguishing competitive gaming from gambling and real money gaming.
