Qualcomm on Monday announced its new smartphone processor with Ai enhanced gameplay the Snapdragon 888 Plus. The new processor features increased clock speed on the CPU. Qualcomm also boosted the AI capabilities of the processor by 20 percentage, which will immensely improve the video call and gameplay experiences.
Qualcomm said that the phone makers are trying to bring more than 130 designs using the Snapdragon 888 and 888 Plus. “It feels profoundly intelligent entertainment experiences with AI-enhanced gameplay, streaming, photography, and more,” Qualcomm’s incoming CEO, Cristiano Amon, said during a virtual presentation.
Qualcomm also revealed its plan to launch a 5G RAN platform for small cells. The technology will expand mmWave to more places indoors and outdoors, as well as new locations around the globe. Qualcomm is trying to expand 5G by using cellular technology in PCs, cars, smart internet of things devices, fixed wireless products, and infrastructure.
