OSlash, an enterprise software-as-a-service (SaaS) company, has raised $5 million in a round led by Indian and American entrepreneurs, including Kunal Shah, founder of Cred, Christian Oestlien, vice president of YouTube’s product, Kevin Weil, president of Planet and former head of product at Instagram, Akshay Kothari, chief operating officer of Notion, and Cristina Cordova, partner at First Round Capital.
The new funds will be used to hire in the United States and Europe, as well as expand the company’s search tool, which gathers data from a variety of sources.
OSlash previously secured $2.5 million from Accel Partners in September 2021.
“It’s great to have onboard top executives from companies we love. Their expertise in SaaS definitely lends itself to a better product for everyone,” said OSlash chief executive officer (CEO) Ankit Pansari.
OSlash, which was founded in 2020, is used by over 3,000 organisations, including Cred, Khan Academy, and Twitch. In 2022, the company raised a $5 million post-seed round with a completely remote crew.
OSlash users have seen a 25% increase in productivity, making it the fastest way for teams to work in the modern workplace, according to a prepared statement from the company.
“The power to index links and retrieve information quickly is crucial for organizations that want to scale…I’m excited for OSlash to become the de-facto way employees at every company keep information at their fingertips,” said Weil, who has participated in the funding round.
