Twitter blue labs to offer early feature access to premium users

Twitter, which often tests new features prior to their official deployment, has established a new option for select users to test these new features ahead of everyone else. Twitter has announced that members to its premium Twitter Blue service will get early access to new features under the new Labs label.

It appears to be a similar strategy to those familiar with YouTube’s Labs features for Premium users. Pinned discussions on iOS, which allows users to pin DM talks to the top of the list, and the option to publish lengthier video uploads from a desktop computer are among the features in Twitter’s programme.

Users may only subscribe to Twitter Blue if they have an iOS device and reside in Canada or Australia, thus Labs features aren’t currently broadly available. Twitter promises that Labs will be available in more countries soon, though, and the company has said on its website that Blue will be available in additional regions and on Android and the web “in the near future.”
