Apple may release a stretchy band for the Apple Watch in order to detect blood pressure accurately. While the Apple Watch is widely regarded as the most powerful smartwatch available today, it lacks blood pressure sensors. While the Watch Series 7 monitors heart rate, SPO2 and a variety of fitness-related parameters, it does not measure blood pressure like some other smartwatches.
This is quite likely to change in the future. However, unlike many smartwatches that enable BP monitoring via sensors buried in the dial, the Apple Watch may offer the feature via customized bands.
In 2022, Apple may provide BP monitoring via its smartwatch with the Watch Series 8. The Watch Series 8 is also expected to get some more health-related features, including as temperature tracking and maybe blood-sugar level monitoring, next year.
