Mumbai, September 7, 2026: The wait for the much-anticipated Drishyam 3 is nearing its end. The Hindi crime-thriller, starring Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, is set to unveil its first trailer on September 9, 2026, giving fans their first major glimpse into the concluding chapter of the popular trilogy.
Titled Drishyam: The Conclusion, the film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 2, 2026, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti. The date carries special significance for followers of the franchise, as Vijay Salgaonkar famously used a carefully constructed October 2 alibi to protect his family following the events of the first film.
Trailer to reveal the next chapter of the Salgaonkar story
The trailer announcement has already raised anticipation among fans, with the makers teasing that the danger surrounding the Salgaonkar family is bigger than ever.
Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay, while Shriya Saran reprises her role as Nandini Salgaonkar. Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav are also returning as Anju and Anu Salgaonkar.
The new promotional material shows the family together in a car, suggesting that the pressure surrounding them has intensified once again.

The first Hindi film, released in 2015, was directed by the late Nishikant Kamat. Pathak subsequently took over the franchise with the second instalment and is now returning to bring the Hindi trilogy to its proposed conclusion.
The film is produced by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.
New faces join the cat-and-mouse game
Alongside the returning cast, the third instalment introduces new characters who could significantly change the balance of power.
Jaideep Ahlawat joins the film as Rajveer Singh Tomar, an SP from the Crime Branch, while Prakash Raj plays lawyer Indrajith Shetty.
Meanwhile, Tabu returns as Meera Deshmukh and Rajat Kapoor as Mahesh Deshmukh. The Deshmukh family continues to believe that the Salgaonkars were responsible for the death of their son Sameer, keeping the central conflict alive.
