AICRA to setup 2000 Advance STEM Labs in schools and 200 Community STEM Labs across India

  • All India Council for Robotics & Automation (AICRA) announced the establishment of 2000 Advance STEM Labs in schools and 200 Community STEM Labs across India.

  • STEM community labs will cater as knowledge hubs where STEM enthusiasts can acquire the necessary skills for their careers in STEM.

At the 4th edition of India STEM Summit & Awards, the All India Council for Robotics & Automation (AICRA) announced the establishment of 2000 Advance STEM Labs in schools and 200 Community STEM Labs across India. The STEM labs in schools aim at creating an ecosystem where the students will be inspired by STEM subjects such as Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics. The establishment of Advanced STEM labs in schools will help students to get hands-on, minds-on learning experiences in STEM topics and international exposure through challenges and competitions. Meanwhile, the STEM community labs will cater as knowledge hubs where STEM enthusiasts can acquire the necessary skills for their careers in STEM.

The All India Council for Robotics and Automation ensures that both the labs will be equipped with advanced tools and provides an ideal ambiance that encourages individuals to experiment, learn and build ideas. The India STEM Summit & Awards witnessed the announcement of various initiatives by AICRA and different states to promote STEM in India.

Mr. Rajkumar Sharma, President at AICRA said “ISSA 2022 aims at accelerating growth in the STEM sector for creating a sustainable ecosystem in our country. The initiative to build STEM labs and community labs under India STEM mission will reshape the sector and prepare students for the future.”

The summit highlighted the latest innovative technologies in the education STEM ecosystem, such as Artificial intelligence, Machine learning, and Augmented Reality for STEM learning as well as several new categories. The summit envisions promoting STEM education to find a space for themselves and creating beneficial partnerships with government, Industry, and Academia. Around 50 EdTech companies have showcased their products and services to benefit institutions and students.
