  Odisha: Hours after the Supreme Court allowed the Rath Yatra in Puri on Tuesday with restrictions in view of the coronavirus pandemic, the Odisha government imposed a 41-hour curfew in the temple town of Puri and started Covid-19 tests of 700 temple priests who would pull the 3 chariots. The SC said in its order that each chariot would be pulled by not more than 500 people, including officials and police and there has to be an interval of 1 hour between pulling of chariots. SC rejects power companies’ bid to extend emissions deadline !!

  Chennai: India’s Supreme Court rejected a request by power producers to extend a deadline to install equipment to cut emissions by two years to 2024, according to an order uploaded on the court’s website late on Monday. India has a phased plan for plants to comply with emissions standards, which involve installing Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) units that cut emissions of sulphur dioxide – known to cause lung diseases. New Delhi: The National Test Abhyas app, launched by National Testing Agency (NTA) that offers JEE, NEET mock tests will not provide the questions in Hindi language too.
