Facebook to roll out a new design for the settings menu in the app

Facebook Inc announced that they will redesign the settings menu of the FB mobile application. The new design will be available on the application later this week. Both android and iOS users will get to see the new design and it’s even applicable in Facebook Lite.

The new design is aimed at providing the user with an easier way to navigate and find tools.” Whether it’s managing the ads people see, adjusting sharing settings, or curating an audience for posts, people shouldn’t have to think too hard about where to start,” said Facebook.

As part of the new layout implementation, Facebook settings are now sorted into different categories such as Account preference, audience and visibility, permissions, your information, and community standards and legal policies. Each of these includes subcategories. It has also changed the standpoints of several settings along with related settings options.

Reportedly, the company has also made changes in privacy settings and moved important privacy settings within it into other groups.
