The Global Artificial Intelligence Summit & Awards (GAISA) featured a comprehensive session on the pivotal role of Artificial Intelligence in revolutionizing the esports sector. Titled “AI in Esports,” the session underscored how AI is reshaping competitive gaming by enhancing strategy, ensuring fair play, and fostering immersive, data-driven audience experiences.

The day commenced with a roundtable meeting at Hall 19, Level 1, attended by key representatives from the Sports Department, Sports Authority of India (SAI), MeitY, and leading industry CXOs. The discussions centered around the development of robust frameworks to support AI innovation in the esports domain, with a focus on advancing infrastructure, policy support, and technological integration.

This was followed by a keynote address titled “AI in Esports: Enhancing Gameplay, Fairness, and Competitive Integrity,” delivered at Audi 2, Level 2. The address emphasized the growing application of AI in analyzing player performance, optimizing training methodologies, and maintaining competitive integrity through advanced anti-cheat mechanisms.

The subsequent session, held from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM, brought together distinguished industry leaders including Musab Zaman (Head of Esports & Gaming, Aaj Tak), Vamsi Krishna (Founder, The Esports Club), Anurag Khurana (Founder & CEO, Newgen Gaming Pvt. Ltd.), Sarvjeet Singh (Head of Government Policy & Affairs, MPL), VJS Srivastava (Director General, Sogi.org), and Vishwalok Nath (Founder & CEO, Heyypal). The panelists elaborated on the integration of AI in enhancing player strategies, supporting real-time decision-making, creating personalized fan content, and enabling interactive viewing experiences.

The session concluded with a consensus on the importance of collaborative efforts between regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to promote ethical, inclusive, and responsible AI adoption in esports. GAISA reaffirmed that with sustained innovation and strategic investment, AI is poised to significantly elevate India’s standing in the global esports landscape.
