Google Doodle marks beginning of summer in northern hemisphere with adorable illustration !!

New Delhi: Google marked the beginning of the summer season in the northern hemisphere with an adorable doodle on Saturday. The illustration, set in hues of orange, yellow and blue, features an animated representation of the rising sun while a flamingo enjoyed a hot air balloon ride in the sky. Summer 2020 begins in the Northern Hemisphere on June 21 and will last till September 22. Dates differs from  as per the climate and traditions every particular year. During summer in the Northern Hemisphere, it is winter in the Southern Hemisphere. Summer arrives after spring and is followed by autumn. It is hot and humid during summers while the sweltering heat leads to a steep increase in the temperatures. Days become longer and nights are shorter around the summer solstice. The length of the day decreases as summer progresses following the solstice. On June 21, the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere will mark the longest day of 2020. The summer solstice occurs as one of the Earth’s poles has its maximum tilt towards the sun. The phenomenon occurs once in each hemisphere, twice a year.
