New Delhi: PhD chamber of commerce and industry (PHDCCI) in association with AICRA hosted a webinar on the eve of World MSME week on devising ways to enhance business through AI. The webinar was resided by eminent heads of different sectors and associated with different domains including Sri Piyush Srivastava Additional Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME Government of India, Mr Raj Sharma, President of All India Council for Robotics and Automation,Ms Laxmi Nageshwari Global lead Boston Ltd, Mr Sunil Goel Founder Bzait consulting. The discussion was centered around the adoption of AI technologies in business and how it’s adoption can be a game-changer.
Mr Raj Sharma President of All India Council for Robotics and Automation (AICRA) emphasized the need for AI implementation. He urged that corporate organizations like PhD chamber and government should come together to help organizations to leverage the use of new technologies like AI.He further added, “our aim is to assist the MSME which is the backbone of the nation We will provide a solution, give our assistance, and take MSME to another platform in leveraging new technologies”. Further he assured the introduction of a certification program that would help to learn and create awareness and knowledge about better adoption and usage of the technology.
Ms Laxmi Nageshwari, Global Lead at Boston Group stressed on how digital transformation is changing the structure and nature of all industries and also how the businesses are undergoing a radical change through the technological adoption. She stated that”AI is not only about technology adoption rather it is about enterprise acceptance”. The webinar consisted of the discussion regarding the key challenges in the adoption of the technology its scope and prospects and also the ways to overcome the challenges . Ms. Laxmi urged the industries to find feasible solutions for challenges in adopting AI and assured support from the Boston group.
Mr Sunil Goyel specialist in designing strategic solutions for Industries also highlighted the implementation of AI it’s scope and capabilities in different sectors. He also brought forward the different government initiatives that can be used up by the Industry for its strategic growth.He further shared the AI supply and value chain that includes Planning and fulfillment, manufacturing and service and design, and sourcing and procurement.
Mr. Piyush Srivastav, Additional Development Commissioner Ministry of MSME laid emphasis on 4.0 Industrial Revolution through the latest technologies which will lead to efficient production resulting in lower cost and Higher production for the MSMEs sector which will help India to become more self-reliant.
He stated that”AI is here now to stay in India since it’s adoption and will drive the business both at macro and micro level.”.
Mr. D.P Goel Co chairman MSME committee Ph.D. chamber, in his address appreciated the increased participation of MSME in development of the nation. He also praised the initiative taken by PhD chamber of commerce and industry with a signed Memorandum of understanding ( Mou) with AICRA to open a centre of operation of Robotics and AI which will help to make an impactful contribution to MSME and the society.
Dr Ranjeet Mehta Principal Director Ph.D. chamber moderated the session and explained the potential scope and prospects of growth of MSME in India. He concluded the session with a vote of thanks for everyone’s esteemed presence. The webinar received extensive participation of more than 60 participants from India .
The webinar’s objective overall covered how MSME and other sectors can realize their potential by lowering the cost, adding new customer base, enhancing global outreach , improving quality, and productivity index by AI adoption.
