All India Council for Robotics and Automation (AICRA), is a not-for-profit apex organization, constituted in the year 2014, for setting up standards for Robotics and Automation in India as well as helping more than 3500 members and professionals to solve difficult technical problems. AICRA is focused on building the architectural integral to the development of the automation sector.
“To consider and take up the issues of the developers and aggregators engaged in the Smartcity Mission of the Government of India, National Association of Smartcity Developers & Aggregators (NASDA) is functioning as Real Estate vertical of All India Council for Robotics & Automation (AICRA), under the Presidentship of Shri Raj Kumar Sharma” informed Shri Anand Giri, CEO of NASDA.
Shri Anand Giri further stated that National Association of Smart City Developers and Aggregators (NASDA) is the premium body of all stakeholders who contribute in the development of Smart Cities in the country. ‘SMART’ is a term to be seriously considered as an acronym. It refers to Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound. The immovable asset which is land is the basic ingredient and the foundation to build ‘SMART’. NASDA has identified the other factors and verticals to optimize the available resources with introduction of Technologies in Construction, Materials Procurement, Manufacturing Processes, Supply Chain for availability of products and services, Marketing of finished product and all this with a spirit of Nation Building.
He further added that NASDA shall be covering the domains of Smart Cities, Technologies, Skill Development and Education, therefore, support from related Ministries shall be sought, namely, Ministry of Urban Affairs, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Ministry of Education, all Ministries of the Government of India, to be the Partners for implementation of various Government initiatives.
While working in the habitat of Technology, it was felt that no sector shall remain untouched and that the rate at which new techniques and processes are getting innovated, they shall overtake the conventional way of doing business. This thought was enough to gauge into the future and the sector which caters the most for any business from any sector was identified as the Realty Sector and Smart Cities in particular. That is how, NASDA (National Association of Smart City Developers and Aggregators) was conceptualized by AICRA (All India Council for Robotics and Automation). The Members of AICRA’s Technology Governance Steering Committee in Smart Cities are the Advisory Board Members of NASDA which includes top government officials heading Smartcity Mission in various wings of the Government Departments and key players of the real estate sector.
Technology has evolved and shaped industries in many ways. Advancement of technology will surely improve the scope of the transformation of various sectors. Keeping in view the importance of modern technologies, AICRA is setting up industry specific Technology Governance Steering Committee (Think Tank). While concluding He informed that this body would comprise National Experts from different fields. The key objectives of the Steering Committee are as follows:
- To deliberate on major government policies of concern to particular industry and influencing reforms pertinent to the need of the industry and recommendations to AICRA’s Executive Committee on the issues and concerns of the industry to be taken up with the government.
- Setting up agenda for AICRA working committee and provide support in terms of data, reports and white papers in execution of the agenda.
