The Covid-19 pandemic has made everyone realise how important it is to monitor your health and stay fit. While people can purchase a variety of health-monitoring devices, Invoxia unveiled a Smart Collar for dogs at CES 2022.
This device could be useful for pet owners who want to track the health of their dogs in order to address any issues that arise in advance. While the effectiveness of this product is unknown, the company claims that this Smart Dog Collar can monitor vitals such as resting respiratory and heart rate. The company claims to have collaborated with certified veterinary cardiologists to develop deep learning AI that uses radar sensors to take readings from your dog’s neck.
According to reports, the device works regardless of how furry a dog is. The radar sensors can track the dog’s heart and respiratory rate based on its speed and movement. Unlike the wearables we use, which require proper skin contact, the company claims that this smart collar does not require a tighter fit to get accurate heart rate readings.
The Smart Dog Collar, which includes GPS and can be used as an activity tracker, can also assist in tracking the location of dogs. This feature could be useful for checking on your pet’s safety at home while you are away at work or travelling.
While pet tracking is not new, Invoxia’s Smart Dog Collar’s main selling point is that it can also track health. According to The Verge, users will be able to monitor their dog’s daily activity and get details on when the dog is walking, running, scratching, eating or drinking, barking, and resting with this smart collar.
The Smart collar includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and LTE connectivity, allowing owners to remotely monitor their dog’s health and activities. Users will also be able to view all of their tracked activities and health data on the company’s companion app. It includes charts and graphics for a more visually appealing presentation.
