Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has updated its budget Y-series smartphones with the Y15A. The smartphone costs PHP 7999 (about Rs 12,000) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model. The Y15A is available in Mystic Blue and Wave Green colours from Vivo. In Singapore, the Vivo Y15s was priced at SGD 179 (roughly Rs 10,000) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model.
The Vivo Y15A has a 6.51-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with 720 x1600 pixel resolutions and an eye-protection mode, as well as a waterdrop notch that holds an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 lens. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, which is also found in the Vivo Y15s. The processor is accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
On the back, the Vivo Y15A has a dual camera configuration with a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary camera with an f/2.4 aperture. Autofocus is available on the rear camera setup. It has a single front-facing camera with an 8-megapixel sensor and an f/2.0 aperture for selfies.
The Vivo Y15A is powered by a 5000 mAh battery and runs Android 11. The device has a dual-SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, OTG support, FM Radio, a micro USB slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack for connectivity.
The Vivo Y15s (2021) has the same specifications and designs. However, it comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Furthermore, it operates on the Android Go edition. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, as well as support for face, unlock for security.
