WhatsApp introduces more features to its joinable call feature

WhatsApp announced more features to its joinable calls feature. This was one of the most essential features provided by the messaging software since it allows users to join an ongoing call after it has started. The new feature allows users to call a WhatsApp group and join it directly from the group chat window. Users will now notice a new button near the group chat icon.

“Today we are enhancing the experience of the joinable call through integration to group chats. So, now group calls are contextual to your group chats and you can effortlessly join them right from the chat tab. With group calling growing in popularity, integrating joinable calls gives WhatsApp users a new spontaneous way to connect with their family and friends’ groups,” WhatsApp said in a statement.

If someone misses a WhatsApp group call, the new feature eliminates the need to disconnect and call again. Users can join the ongoing call anytime they want. According to WhatsApp, users may call a WhatsApp group and join the call immediately from the group chat. Instead of the names of the participants, the notification will show the name of the group. The call, however, may only be joined by members of the group. The call will appear in the chat list, allowing users to know which groups have active calls as soon as they open the app. WhatsApp has given a more distinct and lighter ringtone. Making it as simple as sending and receiving a message.

WhatsApp has previously enabled the option to join a group call after it had started. WhatsApp also added a call info screen, allowing you to see who is presently on the call and who has been invited but has not yet joined. And, if you press ‘ignore,’ you can join later from the WhatsApp calls tab.
