WhatsApp working on default message timer : New feature alert

WhatsApp has started working on a slew of new features. However, before the features make it to the stable version of the app, WhatsApp was seen testing them on the beta version. Wabetainfo, a well-known tipster, has discovered a dozen new features in the app. According to the WhatsApp features tracker, WhatsApp is testing the new UI for more beta testers, as well as the default message timer and improvements to the multi-device system. The features are now available in the most recent version of WhatsApp for Android beta.

“WhatsApp has released a new default message timer, so you can start new chat threads with disappearing messages automatically enabled. Today, WhatsApp is releasing the ability to set a default message timer for more people, and they can also set 24 hours and 90 days as new expiration times for disappearing chats. You can enable the default message timer in your Privacy Settings,” the wabetainfo report said.

Another feature that WhatsApp is rumored to be working on is linked to the multi-device system. The changes were found in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.23.10. According to the new changes, WhatsApp will no longer send alerts when the security code is updated or when the associated device list is updated. WhatsApp users, on the other hand, will no longer be able to opt-out of the multi-device program. The messaging app has removed the ability to opt out of the multi-device beta, and some beta testers can now use multi-device without joining.

“The option to opt-out of the multi-device beta program has been removed. As you can see in this screenshot, the row “Multi-device beta” is disappeared: this means that those users cannot leave the multi-device beta program anymore. If you didn’t join the multi-device beta, and the changes are applied to your WhatsApp account too, this update logged out all your linked devices, so you can relink them again using multi-device, which has been automatically enabled for your WhatsApp account,” the Wabetainfo report stated.
