Xiaomi 12 may come with a 50 megapixel camera : Says tipster

Xiaomi 12 is likely to come with a Snapdragon 898 processor.

It may sport a Full-HD+ display, a downgrade from the Mi 11 launched last year.

As we get closer to the release of Xiaomi’s next flagship smartphones, rumours about the Xiaomi 12 series start to circulate. A new one gives further insight into the camera features that we may expect from the series’ vanilla device. According to the source, the Xiaomi 12’s camera module would include a 50-megapixel primary lens.

The leak comes from a well-known Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station, and is the first of its sort for the Xiaomi series’ base phone. For those who are unaware, the Xiaomi 12 series is set to launch next month and will most likely comprise the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Ultra, and potentially a Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced Edition.

Many leaks have already provided us with a lot of information about how the top model in the series would look. According to the fresh rumour, the standard Xiaomi 12 will have camera capabilities identical to the Ultra model. For the time being, all we know is that it may include a 50-megapixel main sensor on a triple-lens camera configuration.

The source also indicates that Xiaomi would improve the camera design for the Xiaomi 12. Two very similar lenses can be seen vertically in an image accompanying the leak, with a third lens to the right of these two sensors. Two LED flashes will be located beneath the third lens. There are also rumours about the device’s other specs. According to these reports, the Xiaomi 12 will have a design identical to the Mi 11 and a Full HD+ display, a step down from the Mi 11’s AMOLED display.
