Xiaomi 12 Mini can be launched in China next month.
The smartphone may pack a Snapdragon 870 SoC.
We haven’t heard anything in a long time about Xiaomi working on a little smartphone. Apple’s mini iPhones may have had little success, but that hasn’t stopped the Chinese smartphone maker from moving on with the concept. Next month, Xiaomi is expected to release a tiny model of the Xiaomi 12. It will be released next month alongside the other Xiaomi 12 series smartphones. Xiaomi is expected to release the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12 Ultra, and Xiaomi 12 Mini in December.
Twitter user Mayank Kumar revealed the phone’s specifications. According to him, the phone would be released in China on December 21. For those who like tiny phones, the Xiaomi 12 Mini is expected to include a 6.28-inch flat display. This will be an FHD+ flat AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and touch responsiveness of 480Hz. The screen might be as bright as 1500nits and support HDR10+.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage are likely to power the smartphone. The Xiaomi 12 Mini might include a quad-camera configuration, including a 100-megapixel main camera with OIS and a 20-megapixel ultrawide lens.
The Xiaomi 12 Mini may potentially include a 4700mAh battery with 67W rapid wired charging and 50W wireless charging. To be honest, it’s a fairly good battery for such a little phone. Some top devices include 4500mAh battery packs. Bluetooth 5.2 compatibility, Harman stereo twin speakers with Dolby Atmos, and IP68 certification are possible extras. The phone will be 7.96mm thick and weigh around 176g. As the launch date approaches, we should expect to learn more about the Xiaomi 12 Mini soon.
