WhatsApp adds Indian themed stickers to its payments feature

WhatsApp has been hard at work on its payments feature in India in order to encourage its user base to use the app’s abilities. In yet another update, WhatsApp has added a variety of stickers to its payments tool in an effort to make payments more entertaining for those who use WhatsApp.

The update is tailored to WhatsApp users in India, and hence includes Indian-themed Payment stickers. According to the company, these new pictures are based on numerous cultural expressions in the country that represent money exchange.

WhatsApp worked with five Indian illustrators to offer this new bundle of Payments stickers particularly for its Indian users. As a result, these stickers were issued in five sets, each illustrating a different Indian experience with money and payments.

These new stickers will be available to WhatsApp users while transferring money to a contact in the app’s Payments section. These may be used to make payments to others by simply selecting the relevant sticker during the financial transfer process. The receiver will then get the message about the payment transfer, along with the chosen sticker.
