Apple fixes Call drop issue in iPhone 12 & iPhone 13 with an update

The iOS 15.1.1 update should fix the call drop issue on iPhone 13 or iPhone 12.

Only a handful of users complained about the call drop issue.

Apple has released iOS 15.1.1, which addresses call drop issues on just the first and second versions of the iPhone. That is also why iOS 15.1.1 will not be accessible for any iPhone model other than the two mentioned above. This isn’t a large update; it’s only a patch for an issue where some customers complained about their calling experience.

The call drop issue was not widespread because just a few people complained. However, it was a significant issue because it impacted a phone’s basic calling function. According to the iOS 15.1.1 changelog, the latest update “improves call drop performance for iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models.”

You can find the iOS 15.1.1 update by going to Settings, then General, and finally Software update. Remember that the update will only be visible on iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 models, so if you have an iPhone 11 or an iPhone XR, you will not see it. Except for the iPhone 13 and 12, all eligible iPhones should be on iOS 15.1 until iOS 15.2 is released to the stable update channel.

In other news, Apple has opened up iPhone and Mac repairs for the first time, allowing users to fix a screen or swap a battery on their own for the first time. Apple will not only offer authentic parts and components directly to customers, but it will also provide them with a lesson on how to make DIY repairs, which is a good move. Although the company still recommends that clients seek the services of a professional repair service provider if they are unfamiliar with the concept of hardware repair. The Apple Self Repair Service initiative will launch in the United States early next year, with plans to extend to other regions later.
