Apple’s highly anticipated AI-powered features, known as Apple Intelligence, are set to launch in India this April, as confirmed by CEO Tim Cook during the company’s recent earnings call.
This announcement comes as Apple intensifies its efforts in artificial intelligence, aiming to improve user experiences across iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
First introduced in 2024, Apple Intelligence includes AI-driven capabilities such as enhanced Siri functionalities, real-time language translation, smarter photo editing, and better text prediction.
The rollout in India is expected to happen alongside the global release, allowing users to access these features at the same time.
“We’re thrilled to bring Apple Intelligence to India this April, providing users with smarter and more intuitive experiences throughout our ecosystem,” Cook stated.
The AI system is designed to work seamlessly across Apple’s latest devices, including the iPhone 15 Pro series, M3-powered iPads, and Macs. Analysts believe these new features will significantly boost Apple’s appeal in India, a rapidly expanding market for premium smartphones and AI applications.
With India being a crucial focus for Apple’s growth, the company has also increased its local manufacturing and retail presence in the country. The launch of Apple Intelligence fits into Apple’s broader strategy to compete with AI-driven services from competitors like Google and Samsung. Users in India can look forward to a software update in April that will activate Apple Intelligence features, with additional enhancements expected to roll out throughout the year.
