Huawei Technologies and Apple both are increased their share of the China smartphone market in the second quarter of 2020, bucking a broader trend as the overall market for handsets continued to contract. Huawei shipped 40.2 million devices in China in the second quarter, 8% more than a year earlier, to increase its share of the market to a dominant 44%. NASA’s Mars Rover Perseverance Poised for Launch Today !!

NASA’s latest Mars rover Perseverance is launches Thursday on an astrobiology mission to look for signs of ancient microbial life — and to fly a helicopter-drone on another world for the first time. Take-off is scheduled for 7:50 am (5:20 pm IST) from Cape Canaveral, Florida on board a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket. Flipkart on Tuesday announced the launch of its hyper-local delivery service in India, Flipkart Quick. The company is piloting the service in select localities in Bengaluru starting today. Intel’s chief engineering officer is leaving the chipmaker !!

Intel ousted Chief Engineering Officer Murthy Renduchintala, the executive in charge of the company’s vast chip-design and manufacturing organisation, less than a week after saying it has fallen further behind rivals in production technology.
