Corning Gorilla Glass With DX, DX+ specifically made for back cameras

Corning announced two new gorilla glass composites named Corning Gorilla Glass with DX and Corning Gorilla Glass with DX+, exclusively designed to protect back camera lenses. The new composites are expected to improve scratch resistance & durability.

Samsung is going to be the first company that uses Corning Gorilla Glass with DX and Corning Gorilla Glass with DX+, But the new composites will make its way to other devices soon.

Aymin Amin, Vice President, and General Manager, Corning Gorilla Glass says, “Antireflective coatings have long been used on conventional cameras to improve light capture. However, these coatings have a propensity to scratch easily, negatively impacting image quality. Corning’s Gorilla Glass composites not only provide mobile device camera lens covers with enhanced scratch resistance and durability compared to traditional coatings, but also the improved optical performance required for these devices,”
