Google adds guitar tunes to search

Google has recently added a new feature called “google tuner” right within the search. The tech giant has confirmed to Android Police that it has just rolled out the new Search feature, which can be accessed on pretty much any device. Simply search for “Google tuner” to have access to the feature. The user interface is similar to the hundreds of existing guitar tuning applications. When you play a string on the guitar, Google detects the note you’re looking for and tells you to “tune-up” or “tune down” as needed.

After you’ve gotten it to work, the tuner will use a visual indication to tell you whether your instrument is in tune or if it needs to be adjusted. This built-in Google tuner joins other music-related tools in the tech giant’s search engine, such as “Hum to Search,” which may help you find songs that are stuck in your head.
