JioPhone Next will support SIM cards from other operators

JioPhone Next will be available in India starting Diwali, November 4, 2021. Jio and Google worked together to create the affordable 4G smartphone. It is advertised as the world’s most affordable smartphone. In India, it costs Rs 6,499 without any offers or financing options. If you choose Jio’s EMI plan, you may acquire the JioPhone Next for Rs 1,999.

The new smartphone supports dual SIM cards, which means it may be used with SIM cards from other telecom companies. However, it is not as easy as it appears. If both of your SIM cards are from non-Jio operators, the smartphone will display an error. As a result, you must always use at least one Jio SIM card.

Even if you use one Jio SIM and one from a non-Jio provider, the smartphone will only use Jio SIM for mobile data. The second SIM card may only be used to make and receive phone calls. The simplest way is to use the phone with Jio SIM cards. In this instance, both SIM cards can be used to make calls or connect to the internet.

In terms of specs, the JioPhone Next has a 5.5-inch HD+ display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and an anti-fingerprint coating. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, has 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage that can be upgraded up to 512GB using microSD cards.

The phone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera as well as an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It supports 4G and is powered by a 3500 mAh battery with 5W charging support. The device has dual SIM support, with SIM 1 locked to Jio.
