Before the August deadline, Microsoft will cut off support Internet Explorer on its Teams platform.

It’s will not all bad news though for businesses which still use Internet Explorer 11. Microsoft in its blog post said that customers who have their own legacy IE 11 apps and investments will be able to continue using them. It’s worth noting that there are still tons of businesses that really on Internet Explorer for its services. Microsoft isn’t killing Internet Explorer just yet owing to the business customers it still has, but it’s probably high time the transition begins for these companies.

Another service that’s vanishing is the legacy Microsoft Edge browser on March 9, 2021. So post this date, the old Edge in this browser will no longer receive security updates. Microsoft said that it has upgraded most of its Windows 10 customers with the new Edge browser. Microsoft launched its Chromium-based Edge browser last year which comes with an Internet Explore legacy mode. But Microsoft clarified the end of support for IE 11 applies to its legacy app on the Edge browser too.
