Will push for economic activities while observing precautions: PM

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday asked people to continue to take precautions to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease. In his televised address to the nation – his sixth since the outbreak of the pandemic in March, PM Modi said people had strictly followed social distancing norms during the lockdown but appeared to have become negligent ever since the country switched into the unlock mode. This is the time when people need to take precautions, more than ever before, he said.

PM Modi also announced the extension of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana till November. This would cost the exchequer ₹90,000 crore, he said.
