Amazon Fresh : A unified grocery store by Amazon

Amazon has launched a new pantry store called Amazon Fresh.

This is primarily a grocery platform that can be used to buy vegetables as well as grocery items.

Amazon said on Friday that it has combined two of its grocery stores, Fresh and Pantry, into a single platform called Amazon Fresh. This is primarily a grocery platform where you can buy veggies as well as groceries. On November 12, the Amazon Fresh shop went online.

Amazon consumers in 300 locations will be able to place orders for veggies and groceries through Amazon Fresh. Back in February, the e-commerce company announced plans to combine the two platforms. However, the store did not go live until November. According to Amazon, the new site would allow consumers to purchase essential things such as veggies and groceries at reduced prices.

Siddharth Nambiar, director, category management, Amazon India, said, “In February this year, we announced the integration of the Pantry store into Fresh in select cities… Today, we’ve completed the integration of both stores into a single online store called Amazon Fresh across 300-plus cities in India. Customers will continue to enjoy super value savings, a wide selection of products, and convenient delivery options.”

Nambiar revealed that with the new launch, all things would be shipped in a single simple shipment that will take between 1-3 days to arrive depending on the customer’s location.

“This launch has allowed us to simplify the shopping experience for groceries via our dedicated Amazon Fresh app-in-app experience and sets us up to deliver many new features and enhancements in the coming months. Apart from offering great savings, Amazon Fresh will also reduce barriers to grocery shopping online,” he added.

Users may have their orders delivered in as little as two hours. In August of this year, the new platform was launched in Bengaluru. Customers will have convenient 2-hour delivery windows from 6 a.m. to midnight, with orders above Rs 600 receiving free delivery. Orders under Rs 600 will be charged a Rs 29 delivery fee.
