Bringing smiles to millions of BATTLEGROUNDS lovers in India, KRAFTON announced BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SERIES 2021 today. It is the first-ever open-to-all esports tournament hosted by the company.
The tournament will be launched with an attractive 1 cr prize pool, that will be distributed among 16 winning teams with top teams entitled to a major chunk of the same. Interested gamers can register for the tournament starting now. The game consists of 5 stages – In-Game Qualifiers, Online Qualifiers, Quarterfinals, Semi-Finals, and Grand Finals. The first round begins on August 2 and is expected to be concluded on August 8. The Online qualifiers will last for a month starting from August 17. The last 3 stages of the tournament will be organized between September 16 & October 10.
The company says, “players who register for the series will need to play a total of 15 matches with their registered team during the in-game qualifier round. The top 10 matches’ performance will become the basis for selecting a total of 1024 teams that will participate in the next round of the series. Likewise, 64 teams will be qualified to participate in the Quarter Finals round. Subsequently, as the competition becomes stiffer, a total of 24 and 16 teams will be allowed to participate in the Semi-Finals and Grand Finale stage of the event.”
