New Delhi, 28-01-2024: Abhishek Singh (CEO,Digital India)  delivered an insightful speech at the Global Artificial Intelligence Summit (GAISA) hosted by the All India Council for Robotics & Automation. Singh expressed his gratitude for the platform that brought together industry, academia, and government stakeholders to discuss the transformative power of artificial intelligence (AI).

In his address, Singh highlighted two crucial points that underscore India’s standing in the AI domain. Firstly, he emphasized India’s robust AI capabilities, ranking as the number one country in AI skill penetration, boasting a wealth of talent, successful startups, and significant funding for AI-related projects. Singh stressed the need for investments in high-performance computing infrastructure to ensure India remains at the forefront of AI innovation.

Singh discussed the multifaceted applications of AI across sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, and law enforcement. He showcased examples of AI-driven solutions developed in collaboration with startups and government initiatives, ranging from predicting crop diseases to enhancing public services through voice interfaces in multiple Indian languages.
