Google Chrome Kaleidoscope brings all streaming services under one platform !!

Google wants to make it is easier for you to stream all your OTT content in one place. If you’re someone who uses Google Chrome to stream content and from different platforms it should get easier soon with a new feature called “Chrome Kaleidoscope”. Google is currently testing this feature on the Canary version of Chrome, as spotted by Chrome Story. Anyone testing out an Chrome on Canary can check out the new project through chrome://kaleidoscope/. Based on the screenshots shared by the blog, the Chrome Kaleidoscope page reads the message “All your shows in one place”. There’s a short description which says, “You can see all your favorite shows in one place, no matter where they’re hosted. Select the providers you use below”.

Listed on the site for now are Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar. Selecting all the three services opens another page which says “Continue watching across all your devices”. The page is blank for now and nothing works other than that message. But this indicates that Google Kaleidoscope will sync these platforms with the other devices so users can continue watching on any device. The blog mentions Disney+ Hotstar which means that the feature could launch in India along with other markets.

For now the feature is in testing and there’s no word on when Google will roll this out to its stable Chrome version. But it would be a really good feature especially for those who use Chrome to stream content. Google tests features on its beta channels and users can try them out as well. But this one seems pretty early in development with only its existence known for now. More details are expected to be out soon.
