There’s something new coming for PUBG Mobile users. The firm has teased a “New Era for PUBG Mobile” on Twitter, more details on which will be revealed on August 24. The announcement, which will be done by developers on YouTube and Facebook lives stream at 7PM IST, is expected to be about the new Erangel map aka Erangel 2.0. For now, the new map can be played in the beta version of PUBG Mobile. It is worth adding that PUBG Mobile Esports Facebook page has also been updated, indicating that the announcement could be around some esport event as well. Nothing can be confirmed for now.
Erangel 2.0 was made available for Android users a few days ago. The revamped Erangel map will be feature design changes as expected. There will be the some changes made in areas such as Mylta Power, Quarry, Prison, and other play zones. Graphics have been upgraded and building adjustments have been made as well. There are new map elements in Erangel 2.0 which include the addition of trenches, wooden barricades and abandoned tanks. Players will also see changes in building structures. Erangel has been due for an upgrade for a long time.
If you are playing the Erangel 2.0 map, it should be worth adding that since this is the beta version of the game, some features may not work as expected. In the same update, PUBG Mobile introduced a new M1014 weapon in Livik Map along with art and graphics improvements. Cheer Park got some additions as it is well in the update. There’s Training Ground 2.0, Cheer Park showdowns, and even an island in the lake.
