A new Google smartphone series, the Pixel 6, will be unveiled this year, and it’s likely one of the greatest improvements to Google’s Pixel line of smartphones ever. It’s speculated that Google will also release the Google Pixel 5a this month.
According to a report by Android Police, Google is expected to launch its Pixel 5a smartphone on August 17. The Google Pixel 5a would have a rubber-like matte texture on the back panel. The 3.5mm audio jack is also anticipated to be retained by the firm. It is also likely to include a 4,680 mAh battery.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G CPU with 6GB of RAM is rumored to power the Google Pixel 5a. The smartphone is believed to have an internal storage capacity of 128GB. As per the reports, the smartphone will ship with Android 11 and will receive an Android 12 upgrade later this year.
Pixel 5a is said to have an FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back of the dual-SIM smartphone.
On the back, the Pixel mid-range smartphone is likely to include a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 16MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. In addition to an 8MP selfie camera with a wide-angle lens, the front of the phone is reported to include an ultra-wide-angle lens. Water and sweat-resistant, the Google Pixel 5a is claimed to have IP67 certification. On top of that, the phone should have dual speakers and two microphones.
It is reported that the Google Pixel 5a has a 4680mAh battery with 18W fast charging capability. As of now, it is unclear if the smartphone will be launched by the company in India or not.
