Pixel 6 phones have been lauded by Android smartphone users all over the world since their global debut last month. Unfortunately, Google has said that it has no intentions to deliver the Pixel phones to India anytime soon. That may not be the case with the Pixel 6a, the series’ entry-level model. Many people are eagerly awaiting its arrival, and recent leaks appear to give much-needed clarity on how the Google smartphone may look.
It is expected that the Pixel 6a would have the same design as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. To the delight of enthusiasts, this indicates that the Pixel 6a will have the same camera band that spans the rear of the smartphone and contains the camera lenses. The Pixel 6a will also have a glass back and a dual-tone finish.
The hints have been spread via new renders circulated by 91mobiles and OnLeaks. According to the renderings, the Pixel 6a will have a centred punch-hole cutout on the top of the display for the selfie camera, similar to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. According to 91mobiles, this display will be 6.2-inch diagonally and will have an OLED resolution as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The renderings also reveal a power button on the Pixel 6a’s right edge, just above the volume rockers. A USB Type-C port is located at the bottom, in the centre of two grilles, one for the speaker and one for the microphone. On the left edge of the phone, there is a SIM card slot.
Renders of the rear reveal a camera module with two lenses and a single LED flash fanned out. The primary lens will most likely be the same as on the Pixel 6 – a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor. If this is the case, the secondary sensor might be a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
To speculate on the Pixel 6a’s additional specifications, we anticipate it to include a Snapdragon 778G or Tensor Lite processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. The tablet will most likely come pre-installed with Android 12 and a 4500mAh battery. According to 91mobiles, the phone will be 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.7mm in size (or 10.4mm including rear camera bump).
