Visualize a world where you can bring a virtual version of your workplace while you are at a beach…!! That’s how metaverse is expected to begin a revolution. The term “metaverse” was introduced by Neal Stephenson in his 1992 novel “Snow crash”.
The metaverse concept again created a buzz recently with some huge investments that have been made by giant companies. Metaverse is the mixture of the physical world with the digital one using augmented reality.
Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg on Monday announced his new team to work for the development of metaverse. “This is going to be a really big part of the next chapter for the technology industry,” Zuckerberg said. Over the next five years, he predicted, Facebook would transition from “primarily being a social media company to being a metaverse company”.
The overwhelmed approach of industries towards the development of metaverse might extend the idea further.
