Robot Collision at London: Sparks Fire

Ocado supermarket’s Warehouse had to go through a fearsome Friday as it witnessed a robot collision that caused a fire. It has had to cancel many delivery orders due to this. The warehouse contains almost 3000 robots that move with a speed of 13 feet per second while fetching orders.

Ocado says, the fire triggered the site’s sprinkler system, but was contained by its mitigation measures. No one was injured, and the damage was limited to less than 1 percent of its grid.

The warehouse which processes 150,000 orders a week will resume its operation after one week. “While we expect some disruption to operations, we are working to restore normal service as soon as possible, We expect the facility to begin operating within the coming week and thank customers whose orders are affected for their patience.”” the company added.
